I think I am canceling my RH

So my parents, FH parents and FH and I have decided I will most likely cancel my RH this week. Unfortunately, I must have booked for a popular date because I have found that alot of RHs that I had looked at previously are already booked on May 22, so I may also have to change my date to sometime in July. It has been a huge headache. Thank you girls for all your advice today. I really appreciate it. It has been hard and I have been really sad but I think I am making the best decision.

from what your experience was it sounds like you're doing what is right for you...it may be a bit stressful but you'll get through it!!

oh don't worry about venting--i may have missed it but did you ever go on the second tasting? who have you called so far? maybe some girls here could help you in your search.

what RH have you looked at that are booked.

I just sent you an FM. I hope you make the best decision for you. Like I said...every venue has its good and bad...and maybeit was an off night for them. But we are here for you, no matter what you decide and can help with other venues! :)

Sorry that you are going through this. But it sounds like you, FH, and family feel you can do better and so it's best to follow your intuition. I know it's not easy now but I'm sure you'll find something great soon.

ohh no! I know how upsetting that must be but I think you will be happier in the end. There is still plenty of time to organize a new place and date! do you know where you are going to check out? I would recommend my hall, Hamlet Willow Creek. I know we are both booked with Imagine, so maybe we have the same style and you would like the hall! IBack in January they still had quite a few dates to choose from. let me know if you'd like any info on pricing and such!

I'm so sorry to hear about this.. but everything happens for a reason!! Think how miserable you would be if you decided to have your RH at a place you weren't comfortable with and it was a disappointment. I wish you the best of luck!!!

I didn't go on a second tasting, basically my mom and FHs parents happened to be going to a charity event where the caterers were showcasing and they got to try a lot of their passed appetizers. Nobody was impressed, maybe we are just too picky. But I talked with everyone and we all think its better to look elsewhere now rather than worry for the next year and 2 months. The search goes on...
