it was a viewing only party. it said on the invitation not to wrap the presents. it was the best bridal shower i've ever been to! it was so much fun! everybody just hungout and socialized the entire time and we didn't have to stop everything to sit and watch the bride open a gazillion presents for 2 hours. This was the most time I got to spend with a bride at a shower because she had more time to socialize with everybody. I told my mom i would love that for my shower. So, i thought i'd share the suggestion with all of you. something to consider. i do like the traditional showers of opening gifts, but this was very nice too. just curious as to what other people think of this idea.

This post is so great! I was having this discussion with my family 5 minutes ago. We want to do this, but what is the proper way of telling people to wrap the gift in celophane in the invitation?
I personally think people would be annoyed at trying to find clear wrapping paper, but it's up to you and your BMs. I would probably just ask them not to wrap anything.
