If I cut my hair..

If I cut my hair (to donate it) now (April) do you think it would grow back by next July?

OR is it a bad idea, since I'll be taking my e-pics and have my eparty?

I really want to cut it short for the summer...but I'm not sure if its a bad idea with the wedding so soon.

For anyone that's never met me in person- here are pics to give you an idea of how long my hair is:

100 of us could sit here and say go fo rit, itll grow back.. but if u knwo ur hair doesnt grow fast, then ur fkd lol

I heard (not sure if its true) that hair grows a half an inch every month. I think you'll be okay if you cut no more than like 8-10 inches.

eh....it really depends on how you want your hair...If it was me and I cut my hair short, it wouldnt be long enough in time for my wedding to do much with. So personally I wouldnt do it...
You look good with your hair long, so leave it for your epics and eparty. Maybe just try to keep up with frequent trimmings to keep your hair healthy and try to grow it out a bit. Then after the wedding, do the post wedding chop and then donate your hair then. (It will probably be longer then and you could donate more...)

Thing is, I'm not sure how fast my hair grows b/c i hardly ever cut it. Last time I got it cut back last feb. (i know its bad, i have the worst split ends). Maybe I'll just get side bangs or something....just to do something different. my hairs been the same for long its annoying me.

hmmm i woulndt chance it. my hair always grows fast and i cut it october'ish and it feels like its taking forever to grow. i want it longer for the wedding. the most annoying part is that i cant go for hair trials now cuz its too short

i just donated mine in december..and mine was reallllly long-they cut 13 inches and it was still just under my shoulders

however im getting nervous about how long it will be next july..

and our e-party is may and it still wont be as long as i like it
and were holding off on e-pics til it grows a lil more

up to you though how are you going to wear it?

I have cut my hair for donation before and it did take a while to grow back to the original length.

How many inches are you cutting off? When I donated my hair, it had to be at least 10 inches.

I'd leave it. I donated my hair in October and while its growing I feel like its taking FOREVER. And I'm also in the position of having to wait on hair trials because its too short.

ya id be too scared a year before the wedding....my hair is really long to begin with, but im not touching it, im getting like inch and a half trims every 3-4 months so it grows MORE, and then if come next april its TOO LONG i will cut what needs to be...its easier to do that than to make it longer!!

UNLESS if you reeeaaaaaallllllyyyy want to cut it, and ur ok chancing it, if it DOESNT grow back how long u want it, would u be willing to consider extensions for the wedding??????????? if so, thats the only way i would say go for it!

Alright, you girls def. convinced me. I think my best bet is to just get a trim...maybe ill do side bangs so its something diff. i dont think i want to take the chance.

i donated my hair a few years ago.. i blow out my hair (abuse it lol) and it took a year for it to grow back. if you let your hair dry naturally, it might grow back faster b/c you won't be killing the ends

idont know if iwould do the chop...maybe a really good trim..side bangs like you want and maybe like a long layer or two..this way its a littlle shorter, healthier and still long enough!

My friend Melissa has such beautiful long curly hair. She donated her hair too, but right after the honeymoon because of hair trials, eparty, etc. Maybe get a trim and long layers...I don't know if your hair will grow that fast in a year...
