with no $$ issue at hand (but be a little realistic) what would your ring look like -- or describe it---- type of diamond (shape & size) as well as which type of band---
thiss could be interestinggg --- i need to think about this one a little too before I find a pic to add--

One carat Pear shaped center stone, two heart shaped side stones, one on each side. Platinum band, with a filigree cut into it, accented with diamond chips...
Not that I gave it any thought lol

I wouldnt change a thing...he got me the exact setting that I wanted so I am completely happy with it. I would only change the issues that we had with the jeweler in SC She was a complete twit

Mine is exactly what I wanted... i helped design it... It's a princess cut (1.25 ct.) with two princess cut diamonds on the side (.60 each) then the band has princess cut dimonds in a channel setting 5 on each side. I don't any any good pics of it... my camera *****.... but you can check my album if you want there are some not so clear pics...

I just finished designing mine this weekend!! It took me well over a year to deciede what I wanted...
I deceided on a 1ct center stone w/ .25 round stones on each side of it. And then the band tapers in with diamonds and filigree..It will be done in about a week but I'm not sure when FH will give it to me..i'll post pics as soon as I get it..I can't wait to see what it looks like!

I designed my wedding bands & they look really nice with my engagement ring. I didn't want a big diamond, just a lot of platinum Heres a picture but it's not too clear. The bands have diamonds in every other little square but you can't see them in this pic
I really like the ring that I have now...it has channel set round diamonds on all three sides of the ring (when you look at it from the top and when you look at it straight on) I would have liked it to be an eternity band (fh was going to get me that but the jeweler talked him out of it and told him that the diamonds on the sides would have been annoying) I wish he would have let me make that decision...lol...but the center stone is a brillant round 1.76 stone that is beautiful...so I guess the only thing I would change would be to have an eternity band...

I wanted a radiant cut at first too, but it just doesn't sparkle like the classic cuts.
I got exactly what I wanted, it was designed by a pro ... my design wouldn't have come close:

All diamonds sparkle, and actually it depends more on cut than anything.
But I got to compare a few squarish shapes, perfect cuts side by side, the pricess just blew me away and I fell for it.
Radiant was beautiful, don't get me wrong, its just more subtle.

I got my ring as an anniversary/pre-engagement ring until I was done with school--- I love it and i know the price tag was prettyyy loll but I know I will be getting a new official engagement ring within the next few months or so, so I just want to hint on what I really want before he makes any decisions...I am really excited im getting another one and I think I have my mind made up but im not 100% sure

Mine is exactly everything and more than i could have ever dreamed of. It's three stone princess cut with the main stone set higher than the other 2. Then it has 5 channel set round diamonds on each side of the band plus the inside and outside of the band are antiqued with diamonds in that part too. I love the uniqueness of it and how much time and effort FH put into designing it for me. I didnt even tell him what kind of stone i wanted.
