I know my hall does 2 weddings at a time, it doesnt really bug me as much as i thought it would. I have a date and hall twin, though hers is the evening and I am the afternoon, I almost hope we run into each other so I can say hi

2 of the 08 brides were married at the same time and had receptions at JT (I think) and they MET UP with their grooms to take a pic together!

It wouldnt bother me at all. I think even if your hall does only do one event at a time you definitely have a chance of seeing the other bride. My cousin got married at Carlyle on the Green and when she was out taking her photos, the evening wedding was arriving and taking their photos too.
I know i have a huge chance of running into someone at the swan club, and its fine with me.

If my reception hall would have been upfront with me, NO, but unfortunetly they were not. When I booked my reception hall my banquet mananger told me that there were two weddings at a time on friday and saturday but only one at a time on Sundays, which is the reason why we booked them and had a sunday wedding. I had been to the reception hall many times between the time we book and our wedding day. I asked the banquet manager three days before my wedding, when dropping off the final payment, what other venues were going on that day at the time of my wedding. They told me an office party only.

The day of my wedding I pulled up and there was another bride there. I figured that she was leaving being I was always told 'ONE' wedding at a time on Sunday's. That wasn't the case, she just arrived and so were her guest. The reception hall, I feel, treated me like a second class bride that day since I was the smaller wedding. My photographer wanted to take pictures of us at the entrance with our limo (as everyone does). My reception hall told us that we couldn't take our pictures there because her guests were arriving and they directed us to the back of the parking lot to take the pictures. Love the ugly brown house in the background!!! They told me that because it was starting to rain that they were going to have her cocktail hour in my reception room while mine was going to start a little later in another area. When my photographer wanted to go outside in the gardens to take pictures because the lighting was right and the rain stopped my reception hall told my photographer that we could not go out because the 'other bride' was using the garden. As if it wasn't big enough for two. So when they finally decided that I was allowed to go out it started to rain!!! I have NO pictures in the gardens at my reception hall. When I wanted to use the bathroom I had to wait if she was in there and when my limo arrive I wasn't allow to leave because she was in the hallway.

I was never mad at the 'other bride'. None of it was her fault and I hope she had a better time then I did. But I was pissed off at how I was lied to and treated. The reception hall should have handled it better. I voiced my concern the second I got there and no one ever contacted me to discuss my unhappiness with how I was treated.
My guest had a great time, the food was great and I loved my bridal attendant and maitre'd.

As long as your aware that there will be another bride at the same time as you then I would say no you don't have a right to be upset. A reception hall should also keep you posted if there 'one wedding at a time' policy changes so your not blindsided.

I was going to say the exact same thing. I would not be pi$$ed UNLESS we were 'sharing' staff time, or it was affecting my wedding. Otherwise, who cares?? It would still be my wedding day.

omg i would LOVEEE to see another bride on my day!!!!! i would even invite her inmy room(drag her) to dance for atleast a song and to take pix!

i hope im not the only bride that day!!!!!

I don't think your nuts. I don't know if I will be the only bride. Right now the 2nd room isn't booked at my location but I would defiantly say hi! and offer them a drink. As long as there are no 'issues' that come up because there are two brides I don't see why it would be a problem.
