So my mother slipped, and now I'm thinking my shower is next Sunday ... But I stalked my registry today, and nothing's been purchased!
**Here is the back story to my moms slip-up: I was talking to her and asking about a family member, and my mother goes 'Linda can't come, her husbands taking her out for her birthday'. Now, I explain to my mom how easy it is for me to find out her birthday, and she nonchalantly responds 'its June 12'. Are you kidding me, Ma??? She cant come to the shower because her husband is taking her out for her birthday June 12, and you don't realize you just gave up my shower date??
Now, don't get me wrong, I know that it's NOT about the gifts - all I really even care about (when it comes to the gifts) is my ribbon hat! I'm just confused, because if my shower is a week away, at least there should be some things purchased, right?
Could it be? Did my mother actually fool me?? Or am I gonna have one big empty table at my shower? haha

I really don't know when else it could be ... I have a BM going to the Phillippines for a month in July! I mean, I'mm not trying to push the issue, I'd be happy with a surprise, but I also don't want to make plans (Sundays are my only free days)

If it was this Sunday, wouldn't someone have said something to you by now? Like as a part of the ruse?
If you want to know more, then maybe mention to your mom or FH about plans on Sunday. Like 'Oh I was thinking about doing X. You wanna come?' Or something like that...see how they respond.
