I'm down 5 pounds!

Original post by MirabellaNYC

Hey Ladies

I'm posting this out of excitement and hopefully to inspire-I know we have all written so many posts about what we're doing, why isn't it working, etc..

4 weeks ago I joined Weight Watchers online-before WW the only diet I knew was the no carb/sugar torture device which isn't the best and its awful (even though it works).
Through doing WW online it's given me a plan and has taught me the concept of BALANCE when it comes to diet and exercise. I joined on a Wednesday, so my weigh in days are every wednesday. Seriously it hasn't been that hard and I don't feel like I'm depriving myself at all.

The clincher for me is the activity points-every time you're in the gym you gain extra points which means-more food! I've been at the gym 4-5 tims a week, but in the last week work was insane and I only made it 3 times. Which is still really good!

So if you're like me and feel like you've tried everything..you can do this!! Especially WW online, I can go on it from my blackberry while I'm commuting. Definitely FM me if you need support or have questions.

Congrats that's great. I am def OVER the 30 mark (by 6 years) and noticed a change in my metabolism which was never great to begin with. . so I def keep up at the gym. . did WW years ago. . maybe it's time to go back. .I eat pretty well but could probably 're-learn' all the details of balancing things out. plus it's one thing to know what to do but another to have the points reminder to keep you honest !!!!

Yup!! I count EVERY bite I eat. Even the random little piece of chocolate or handful of pirates booty.

I'm on weight watchers too! I have been on it for over 3 years. I lost a lot of weight when I first started (total of 50 lbs) but the scale hasn't really moved in the last year. About a month ago I recommitted myself to the program -- I don't track but am really conscious of what I put in my mouth. I've also been pushing myself harder at the gym and staying longer. It has been really tough (especially on weekends blegh) but I lost 5 more lbs! Only 10 more to goal!!!!! If you stick with it, it really is possible to make things happen. Good luck to everyone.

Congrats!!!!!!!! Thats wonderful about staying motivated and going to the gym! I wish I had time to work out. With commuting back and forth from Long Island to Manhattan everyday it just not possible!
So happy for you

I have a mega commute too!

Here's my workout method: My 2 days off a week-I am in the gym. No excuses.
Then 2 other days of my work week I go. What I do is leave my gym clothes/sneakers on my bed so its ready to go. Even if I dash to the gym and do 30 minutes on a treadmill or elliptical its still something.

One of my work friends is doing the P90x videos and is seeing major results! Might be a good option if you can't get in the gym.

My friends husband used P90X to lose weight before their wedding. It def. worked!! I must admit, I have watched the infomercials on Saturday mornings and after, I always want to try it....but I'm too lazy.
