I'm probably going to get ripped a new one for this...

But I have to say it.

This is NOT directed to ANYONE on here, it's just a general observation. I am so sick of hearing, 'I don't want anyone to wear black, red, white, etc, to my wedding'. Yes, it is your special day, but if you are more concerned with what EVERYONE else plans to wear or is wearing to your wedding, something can't be right. I don't give an eff who wears what. I'm the bride, everyone there KNOWS I'm the bride, so why does it matter. I understand that WHITE is a bit more sensitive, but I mean, c'mon!!!!

Sorry, begin ripping new hole below.

I should also add that this is JMO and this is not a thread to creat drama, start a fight or hate yelley. It's just a thought.

I feel the exact same way. I truly don't care what color anyone wears to the wedding, I'm just glad that they're there to celebrate in my special day.

thank you. I've been hearing all these crazy things lately about what guests can/can't wear to weddings, it's nuts!

The only person that will have a problem at my wedding is anyone other than me that shows up in MY dress...

People have too much time to complain. They loose sight of the big picture. Whatever, not my problem.

I wouldn't want someone to wear a long white dress to my wedding. I don't care what color anyone else wears, but if anyone shows up in jeans or shorts I'm going to flip out... assuming i even notice. I'm expecting that my guests will know better.... but after seeing wedding pictures where the groom's mom changed into jeans in the middle of the reception, you never know!!

danielle not only are you the funniest but you are the boldest stepping into uncharted waters

J/kkkkkkkkk

I love it. I completely agree with you. My mom joked around about wearing white or an off white to my wedding and I was like well if you found a really pretty dress...and she thought I was crazy. But I was serious. I KNOW everyone knows who the bride and groom are. And if they don't I would like to know who invited them so I can go ***** them out because why are you at my wedding

Seriously though I DONT CARE either. I mean I don't care if I see other brides at my wedding hall I mean it is bound to happen at JT but who cares. I am happy they are just as happy as me and I would wish them the best of luck in their future.

But seriously about wearing certain colors. I am going to have other things to worry about on my day then to wrory about a guest wearing white, black, red, yellow blue poka dots....WHO CARES!!

I get what you are saying, I do. However, if that is what she wanted to do, let it be. there will be 2-3 pictures TOPS of her in the actual album. It's her issue, no?

You are SUCH a drama starter!!!! Jeeeeez.

No I totally get you. I havent even thought about what everyone is wearing to my wedding. Someone could come in a thong and nipple tassles and I wont give a damn, as long as theyre not white

You are so very right! It is ridiculous to be telling guests what color they can and cannot wear (except for white).

Amen. My colors are gold and ivory. My mom is looking in the goldish family and my grammy loves beige (similar to ivory) and I don't care. she looks great in it, will feel comfortable and that is what matters.

I'm not talking white, sequined gowns with a train, ladies...

I dont normally consider myself a bridezilla, but I would be upset if FH's mom changed into jeans for our reception. It's disrespectful and inappropriate. It's not an issue since she's not doing that, but you're honestly saying you wouldnt mind or are you just playing devils advocate here?

Re: I'm probably going to get ripped a new one for this...

yeha the dress i wore for my e-party is like an off white. i want to be able to wear it to something again but it is really too nice to wear to my cousins sweet 16 next week so i was thinking a wedding would be perfect and a friend of mine said OMG you can't do that. BUT it's off white with a black satin strap around the busum...lol so I didn't think it even looked like a wedding dress and it's short. So apparently my friend and i have different views of what a wedding dress look like.

Mostly Devils advocate... HOWEVER, if FH's mom changed into jeans, I'd know that there was a SERIOUS underlying problem. maybe she wanted to be the center of attention, maybe she wanted to be disrespectful b/c she wasn't happy about the marriage, or maybe she is a little coo-koo
