In desperate need of a Getaway!!HELP

Hi Johanna, you could always go to Williamsburg VA and go to Busch Gardens. It's a lot of fun, and very relaxing. Also, maybe Myrtle Beach, SC. You can stay right on the beach. I've never been there but I live down south, so I hear a lot of things about it.

Newport RI

My Fi an I went there last year and it was so nice we stayed in a nice B&B and had a blast. It is beautiful there and while we were walking around we noticed alot of other young couples as well. Also it's not a far drive I highly suggest it. The main attraction is all of the mansions they are incredible but overall it is just a beautiful place, and a perfect getaway for a couple needing a break

Christine, what was the name of the B&B?

I`ve only been to Newport once, and I would love to go there again. We stayed at the Doubletree, but I would prefer to stay somewhere more quaint this time.

Newport

I went to college in RI, and am very familiar w/ Newport. I also got engaged there! We stayed at a wonderful place called The Inn at Castle Hill. I cannot say enough about this outstanding inn. You can check it out at www.castlehillinn.com They have prices and pictures on the site. I can also give you some other suggestions if you would like. Let me know!

I got engaged there as well! Castle Hill is great! We stayed there a couple of times. We have also stayed at the Mill Street Inn. We always request room 212 which is a duplex suite overlooking the harbor. You won't be disappointed!

Heather...

I got engaged a year and a half ago. We got engaged at the White Horse Tavern. I just love Newport. We took a bottle of champagne over to the Cliff Walk the next evening and had romantic toast. We then took a sunset cruise out of the harbor. We stayed in one of the beach cottages at Castle Hill. We have since been staying at the Mill Street Inn since we love the duplex suite so much! Where did you get engaged?

Heather...

We also did the sunset cruise! And the cliff walk!! But we did it a few hours before getting engaged. We got engaged 9/9/00 on the rocks (right before Brenton State park-I think that's the name??). Had a champagne toast, and then a fabulous dinner in the main inn. There are so many great places to go, to see, I could never get tired of Newport! I am going to be in a wedding this July, we are having the bacheloret party there. The wedding is in Kingston, RI. We will stay in Narraganset. I can't wait!Good luck in your planning...when is your big day?
