IN PAIN AND UPSET!! UPDATED******

I was supposed to go to the nuerologist today (someone who i had seen already for headaches last year) and im supposed to go at 12 and they JUST called me to tell me that hes not taking patients today cause its the holiday!! ARE THEY CRAZY!!! i mean, come on.. you knew the holiday was going to be today before you made my appt... this stinks, and im not feeling good at all today i have the same pain as i had on sunday!! now i have to wait another week!! i asked the receptionist to have him call me if she talks to him.. who knows if she will... i cant go see someone else cause i could only do this on my lunch hour!! im more than upset!

OK, My REGULAR MD is calling in a precription for me!! THANK GOD!! i love that man!!!! so hopefully when i get home frank will have gotten it and i will feel better.. think i am going home at 5pm today!

that is awful - did you tell them you've already been to the ER? They should refer you to someone who can see you.

Ugh. I hate doctors.

I told her i had to go to the hospital on sunday .. so she said she would pass along my telephone number to him and have him call me.. but the way she sounded im not holding my breath!! god i have such a headahce today!

DEMAND that they give you something!! How can you live another week like that!! I would think they wouldn't want to lose you as a patient.

Try to do it in a nice way though so they feel bad for you

Did you try a massage? I get trigger point therapy massages and although they're a little bit painful (bearable pain), they work for me. I get BAD muscle tension in my neck and upper back which causes headaches and the massages really help.
If you have a migraine though, I'm not sure if it would help, but it might......

Annie, the ER dr. told me no massages or chirporactors until i see a dr..I really dont know what to do, i dont even know if i should be seeing a nuerologist, or should i go to an orthopedist or a regular dr..

not a good time to be confused when i have such a headache!

Hey liz,, i took fiorcet for a while but it didnt help.. i took flexil on sunday and felt like i got run over by a train.. i was hoping for some migranie medication.. but im not sure its definatly migraines since i feel it in my neck and head!

There should always be someone on call that can call in a prescription for you!
If they don't, I would find a new doctor.

That is so unprofessional....I would definitely tell the doctor what happened. He probably doesnt know b/c it probably was a screw up on the reception end.

They should at least fit you in on the next time the doc is in the office.

See my only problem with this is, THe Dr. is my fathers best friends son in law.. so i dont want to flip out (cause normally thats what i would have done) and cause all sorts of trouble for everyone.. i also hope that once the receptionist calls him, hell call me right away knowing who i am...
