Invitation Help

I am getting married October 8th and I am doing my own invitations are these dates OK

I figured i would mail them out june 18 and have a reply date of august 6th. the reason for the early reply date is because i am also doing my own seating chart and that will take some time to lay out-

I agree - I think it is really early and people may not know that early if they can come!
The seating really doesn't take that long to do - most of the brides on here do it themselves.

i agree that you would be sending them out way to early. my wedding is june 25, and i just sent my invites out last week... so about 2 1/2 months ahead. unles you have a LOT of out of town guests or you are having a destination wedding, 2- 2 1/2 months should be plenty early enough. right now you are talking about sending them out 4 months early... which is just too early- you gotta figure that everyone you're inviting knows about the wedding date already, so really the invite is just the official thing... you don't need to give them so much notice.

Too early. I totally understand that you want to be early but this is too far in advance. People may forget the date and not show up even if they respond Yes.

My wedding is 11/12 and I think I will mail around Labor Day....and I will mail some B list invites even later.
