Invitations - Mr. or not

Invitations - Mr. or not

My parents are paying for our wedding but we are putting the grooms parents on the invitation as well.

It will read something like

Mr. and Mrs. X request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter,

First Middle Last

to

Mr. first middle last

son of Mr. and Mrs. Z

etc.

Can you please tell me if you are addressing the groom as Mr. or not. My future MIL says that it makes groom sound old and since I am not addressed as Miss, he shouldn't be addressed as Mr. but most ETIQUETTE websites I look at says it should be Mr. Help.

We used the exact same wording and we just put his name, no Mr.

I used similar wording for my invitations and I did not Mr. in front of my FH's name.

No Mr. in front of FH's name.
Parents -ok

We went informal and just left out the Mr. & Mrs. in front of our parent's names.

No, if you put your FI's parents names (and their last name is the same as his), you don't use Mr. or his last name. Same with you.

My invites read:

Mr. and Mrs. First Middle Last
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
FIRST MIDDLE
to
FIRST MIDDLE
son of Mr. and Mrs. First Middle Last

I agree, no 'Mr.' for the groom's name.

With that wording, no I wouldn't.

Our wedding we paid for ourselves, so I listed our names on the invitation as Ms. Me and Mr. Him invite you to...

Yes...this is right...if your FH's parents are on the invite, then no Mr. is needed....and infact, no last name is needed either (as long as it is the same last name)
Even though his parents were not one the invite, I still did not use Mr. in front of his name. I only used his first and last name.
