is denise on? i was wondering how much it costs to mail the boxed invites ill have to figure that as well but there is a chance my FILS will pay for the postage for us which would be amazing
i just came home from the doctor a few mins ago hahahaha. It depends, i know one 07 bride it cost her $2 to send out each invite but she had this book like cardstock on the bottom and then about 3-layers on top of that. Mine cost me $1.64 to mail out each box
thanks! i was figuring about $2 each to mail

yeah figure give or take a little. It sounded alot worse than i thought it would be but i guess wasnt as bad as i had originally thought...I didnt even do the calculations for the amount of boxes at first and expected to pay more.

Re: invite $ question
We spent over $1000 for about 150 invites. We did pocketfolds, but they are putting everything together for me and doing calligraphy. With Grad school I have no time to put all that together myself and with the money you pay for all the material, they should put it together for you.

Re: invite $ question
If FH wer to read this thread he would kill me. I somehow convinced him that it was acceptable to pay $1000 for 100 invitations. I ordered the wedding scrolls and really hope that they come out worth the price!!!!

I'm not having my ceremony there..but I think in this case you can say Reception to Follow...no need for a reception card

Re: invite $ question
We are spending about 1100 for 115 invitations, but that includes the tax and the calligraphy, postage, i know it is a lot but I kind of wanted these invitations so it was my splurging item. In the end I am sure I will kick myself in the arse...so i guess the invites come to about 8 and change per.

thanks for the compliments
if your ceremony and reception are in the same place, you don't need to have a separate reception card. you can just put 'reception immediately following' on the invitation -- but you don't have to put anything if you don't want to, either.
i had a separate card because i liked how it looked in the pocket (in the lid of the box)

Re: invite $ question
I'm getting a tri-fold invite from Carlson Craft.
I am paying $415 for 175 invites, printed outer envelopes, lined inner envelopes, reception card and rsvp card, and because I caught the grand opening sale of EZ Calligraphy, computerized calligraphy is included

Re: invite $ question
we got an extraordinarily good deal, but we paid < $1000 for 200 custom Encore invitations including addressing them.
They are 2 layers of heavy linen paper, ribbon, raised print, moire satin lined envelopes with self-sealing flaps (you peel off a strip of paper and they are sticky, no licking), return addresses printed, response cards, response envelope addresses printed. we also got all of our guests addresses printed in matching script, and the price included that too.
