How many of you invited people you really didn't want to? Like work associates or something.

So far there are only two couples that we are inviting upon my mother's request.
I really did not want to invite them because I don't really know. But I got the 'they have been friends with us forever, and we went to their daughter's wedding' argument, so I gave in.

After I answered I remembered that I didn't want to invite my Uncle, my dads brother but he insisted that I must! So annoying

YES, which I am greatly bothered by. FH doesn't know I'm about to cave and invite some distant cousins. Except the only way I can invite them is without guests, because we defintely don't have room for guests! Heck, some of them didn't even bother to rsvp to my sisters wedding this past summer!

Re: Inviting People You Don't Want to-with poll
I have to invite 38 of my parents friends because they are giving us some $ towards the wedding- I knew we'd invite some and there are some that I would have invited anyway because I grew up around them but they added a bunch of people I don't even know and those are the ones I have a problem with.

Re: Inviting People You Don't Want to-with poll
I had to invite people I don't like. It's not fair. Just because they are related in some distant way doesn't mean that I have to invite them. What really should matter is that I like them...

Re: Inviting People You Don't Want to-with poll
We invited our old coworkers because I was still there when the invites went out. THe wedding was our goodbye to them, since I know I will not see most of them ever again.

Yes, we plan inviting people we wish we dont have to do but its the wau it goes. Unfortunately for us, these people are family members and are invited out of respect for FH's grandmother
