My parents have a group of friends that have been invited to every family even I can remember. They've been to both of my brothers' weddings and it is of course assumed they'll be coming to mine. 1 couple I actually work with, the other are my godparents and the 2 other couples are basically part of the package. My parents are paying for the bulk of the wedding. FHs parents are divorced, his mother is unable to help us financially and we're hoping that his father will be able to do a little something for us. We're trying to keep the number we invite down, but I feel like we should only be fair and allow FHs parents to invite some of their friends. Am I crazy? Should we say they can invite 4 people each? The more people, the more we have to pay.

Re: Inviting your parents' friends.
I think it would be a nice gesture to let them invite a few friends.

Re: Inviting your parents' friends.
You should allow FH's side to invite half of the guests. If you are inviting 200 total, tell them they can invite 100. Its up to them to decide who they want to invite.

Re: Inviting your parents' friends.
I would give them a specific amount of people they are able to invite. Its only fair if your parents are inviting their friends.
