Honest opinions....is that a lot to ask of my BM's?
I found a dress I LOVE, but I feel like it might be too much...
I don't want anyone going to the poor house over my wedding!
(PS - I asked one of my BM's and she - of course - said no....but I know they wouldn't tell me if it was)

I don't think thats too much..but then again i haven't looked at bm dresses so i don't know the typical price range!

I think that you should ask your bm what their price range is. Also keep in mind that alterations need to be factored into the price. If thats a bit too much, there are plenty of dresses that are less expensive but look equally elegant.

I wouldnt be able to afford that as a bridesmaid, however my bridesmaids both told me that $250 was about their cutoff. I think it totally depends on your particular bridesmaids. You would know their financial standing a lot better than we would you know?
If you end up deciding it is too much, post pictures and maybe we can help you find a similar dress for less money. All the designers rip off eachother these days.

Honestly, I do think it's too much. If I was in a BP where the bride wanted us to order dresses that expensive i would absolutely do it but I would be annoyed that she wanted us to spend that much.

i honestly think its a little much but it all depends on the girls situations ... i promised all me girls i would keep it under 160 ... you should look around for a better price you can prob. find it ...i ended up getting my BM dresses for 100 77 less then what i orignally saw it for ... also if the bride did ask me to pay that i still would

oooh. Kim - you might be onto something! I like that. Good idea!!
But you know what? I haven't seen it in person yet. The fabric could look awful, and it could like absolute crap on my BM's....so maybe I should make an appt. and check it out before I go all nutso.
