We went to a party at FBIL's house on Christmas Eve. I could not believe all of the baby talk that went on. Someone asked fh something about it while I was coming into the room...all I heard was him say 'well, we're not planning to right now, but if it's happens...' and I was like 'ugh, I know what you're talking about already and it's not happening' the wife was like 'well I look at you and you seem so ready...you love kids'
I was like 'yes, I love kids, but I also LOVE to give THEM BACK TO THEIR PARENTS' after I've finshed frolicking with them LOL.
I just don't get it...do people normally ask such questions, or is it just acceptable when you are getting married?

My sister is married less then a year and just had her baby yesterday (so cute!). But the real kick in the head is that she is 5 years younger then me! My fiances family always wants to know when we will get started. It gross! Do I ask about their sex lives????
Yeah but you wanna be married for a few yrs before you have kids. I wanna enjoy being married. Travel while we still can. I wanna be able to walk up to the stone stair ways, without taking pain killers or a walker. So way wait until the kids are older, when you can do it before they are even born.

A friend of mine told us to just respond this way when asked:
'We're working on form and we're waiting until we are at Olympic level'
It's coming from all sides, and was the question of the day at our wedding! Mind you, DH and I are 'older' (me, 35 him, 40) but being newly married is stressful enough, we need to adjust to married life first and enjoy our time together as husband and wife before starting a family.
