Is anyone else nervous that....

almost half the people you are inviting will RSVP no? I realistically know that wouldn't happen (at least I hope not!) but a part of me is soooo nervous that everyone has plans that day and won't be able to come!! And then my room will be almost empty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it normal to think about that??

i *wish*!!!!!!! i want a small wedding and we have 240+ invited!!!
Don't worry though. They say an avg of 10-20% say no.....I think only 8ppl didnt make it to my sisters wedding out of almost 200.

lol me too, i want people to say no! Our invite list is out of control... over 300!

But i'm sure you will be fine, I've never heard of 50% of people saying no!

Your room will defiantly not be empty, I'am sure not everybody will be able to come but your still going to throw a kick-*** party.....

I think its normal to feel like that.. At least for me!
Realistically, it wont happen... But still doesnt mean you wont worry about it...
We are having a small wedding, only about 80 people.... And Im worried about the room looking empty anyways... I hope no one says no!!!

Omg, I'm afraid NONE of FH's friends or my NJ friends will go. We live here and are getting married on LI and I just don't think people are going to haul a s s out there, get a room, etc.

I know our NJ people will attend the wedding but my concern is w/ the bridal shower since its not quite as important as the wedding and driving to LI from NJ is always regarded as this huge inconvenience no matter who u ask! The traffic in LI is so unpredictable

I expect some to say no - but we're not inviting that many, most of the people are in our every day lives so it's not like they haven't known about it since the very beginning... but truth be told I wouldn't mind about 10 - 15% declining hehe

That's way I have a B LIST. These are people that understands that I can't invite everyone and won't mind the day of the wedding me telling them that they can come.

Oh - the shower, yeah, I can't imagine my NJ friends driving all the way to LI, but that's MY people, your's might! Maybe give them a heads up and see. Like my mom is insisting on doing everything on LI, yet at this point I almost know more people in NJ - but most of my family is on LI. I kinda ran it by people first to get an idea. Too bad we can't do STD for showers. Ha ha!

i'm very afraid of people saying no because alot of people that we are inviting are from out of state (pa,md,fl,ma,nj) and even from out of the country.....my thing is i would hate to find out at the last minute that alot of people aren't comming at the last minute because i would hate to pay all that money to have people not show up

I can't believe there are so many of you who are afraid of 'yes' people!!! I am the total opposite! I already found out 1 couple probably won't be coming and I felt so bad!!

Us too!!! our guest list is 370....we really really want it under 300, but don't know if that will happen. Hopefully it will since alot of people are oot.

EXTREMELY NERVOUS! I am a Memorial Day Weekend bride!! I sent out STDs, but still freak out from time to time that I have a minimum of 225 to guarantee!

I have to say...I always heard about the '20% rule' I didn't buy it...but, we invited 290...guaranteed 225...and right now, it looks like we're actually going to only have like 220. Which, I'm fine with, really. Obviously, it'll cost less, and the room will be less crowded...
All the responses I got in the beginning were Yeses...and I got worried that no one would say no...and I'd be left with a VERY crowded room, and an expensive reception!!! the no's started coming in much later! It's totally normal to feel that way, but I'm sure it will all work out, and the people you want there, will absolutely be there! Good luck!!!
