This entire wedding process has been SO smooth sailing....I guess being 2 months away when everything is very soon and you're thinking of all the money your about to shell out~
We are really stressed over finances!!!
Yet everyone 'says' that somehow it all works out and you have the money.
Is this really true or are people just trying to be nice? LOL
And is it wrong to hope that we have a lot of 'No' rsvp's? I feel like an A hole saying that, but truly that would really help. We have 292 invited.

I do feel this way too sometimes!!! When i think about it... i get all freaked out. So I really just try to focus on better things that make me happy! But it certainly is INSANE!!!

I'm starting to really stress because I make DIRT and while FH does ok, overall I'm dragging our nut down big time, and while we have the wedding pretty much under control because we're not going nuts and we are getting considerable help for the RH costs, I'm starting to hyperventilate over finding a place to live, affording furniture, food, and I just saw the prices for airfare and hotels in greece for next summer and

Whats weird, is FH and I both do very well financially. We have TONS of money saved...and we're still short!!
Here's the thing~We have enough $$ saved for about 220 guests at the reception, plus all our vendor money is in full and saved also.
BUT.......if we end up having a massive show rate we are going to be short
Soooooo like I said, it will be a blessing getting 'No's'. Which I feel terrible saying.
About 99% of our guests are invited with dates, and I really think many are going to come solo (we wanted to give people the option).

Recently we have been arguing every week about finances. For us, our wedding is almost 2 months away and we still have a lot to order and buy for it. We also just found out that we're closing on our house in hopefully 2 weeks, so we've been looking at furniture and stuff. So, money has been huge around here and the cause of much arguing. Honestly, at this point, when we've been arguing (like now), I just can't wait for it to all be over, to be married and in the house. The stress is ridiculous!

Don't worry Jen, it will all work out...these things really just do! I am sure many of your single friends will come solo, especially if they know a lot of people at the wedding! They say about 80% come to the wedding, so that should be around 220, right? I know its stressful, though!!!

yes it does. some how i dont know how? but it worked out for us up until the day of. then the day after we didnt even have a penny to get anything lol

2 weeks away and we are both stressing on the balance due to the hall. he keeps re-asuring me that we'll be ok. i'm trying to stay positive the way he does- but i'm just concerned. all the vendors are paid we just ow the RH. My parents havn't helped out at all so we're going to sit down with them tomorrow night and ask if they can help us. even if they can just lend it to us we know that we could pay them back the day after. we're also moving right after the wedding so we have that expence too plus the first months rent. it does seem very frustrating at this point.

completely and totally freaked out over it! FH and I both do well financially and have a really hefty amount in savings. We have enough to pay for the wedding and HM in cash right now without sacraficing a thing. Then I think about putting a downpayment on a house and I start to hyperventilate. We both already have furniture so that's not a real big issue and we have a nice downpayment on a house, but AFTER paying for the wedding we are going to be just shy of a 20% downpayment for a house and I get completely sick over it!!
Part of me is hoping we don't find a house we like until AFTER the wedding - I can't deal with the stress!

i feel the same exact way !!!! we are praying for no's every day, so bad to say but when we got engaged we were just so excited we thought we could invite the world... oh well you live and learn.. my next wedding i wil know better hahhahha :

I feel the same ,,,and as for the rsvps.... when I first sent them out it was great I got at least 1 everyday.. now theres 15 days left to the rsvp date and there are so many people that havent send theres back yet.

Thankfully FH is paying for 2/3 of the wedding and he has that saved up. If I were you I would have a contingency plan just in case you do get alot of yes's. Do you have enough to cover everything assuming you get alot of yes's plus have money for the honeymoon?
Can your parents help???
I am a worrier so I like to make sure that everything will be covered.

I feel the same way. I am very lucky to have my parents paying for the reception and FIL's paying for all the vendors.. otherwise we just wouldn't be getting married!! FH and I make decent money but with the new townhouse mortgage payment, car payment, car insurance, other bills, and me going to school I feel like we have no money. I know we have enough saved for the parts of the wedding we are paying for but I also don't want to take that money out of savings to pay it because its our only savings and something is always coming up lately....I love being engaged but I can't wait for this wedding and all the wedding expenses to be over!
It also doesnt help that I keep adding stuff on to the wedding as if I am made of money

Extremely stressed!
FH got laid off in Feb, we have a mortgage this list goes on
We are also hoping for a lot of no's but right now we only have 7 compared to 101 yes

yea we r stressed thank god september is around the corner, it will all work out no one is going to let your day get ruined, wheather you need to borrow money whatever the case may be

I think everyone goes through that the closer they get to the wedding. I thought we wouldnt have enough money but somehow it has been working out! Don't worry about the final count bc it's something you can't control. I had a total of 303 people when I thought I waw having a wedding of no more than 300! FH's famly is huge

Take it from someone who has been there... You WILL find a way! I stressed sooooo much in the few months leading up to the wedding and in the end it all worked out fine. I know everyone is bound to stress as but try not to let it ruin this last stretch for you..I know it did for me and that is one of the only things I regret about the wedding/planning process!
