i will only be working part time!!!!! so while i work my big 4 hrs a day three days a week my FMIH will watch the baby

for their first year, yes... after that, i'll be working part-time (if possible!!!)

I will i just hope we will have enough money comming in so i dont have to go back! thats the one thing i want more than anything ......to be a mommy!

I am as long as FH keeps moving up in his company as planned. Its important to him that im home raising the children, which I have absolutely no problem with. I basically grew up in a daycare and always wished that my mom was around more, so I want that for my children.

if we do decide to have kids, i have a lot of time off at work so it works out pretty well for us... Plus everything is so expensive especially on Long Island

If I can financially, I will. But I plan on stay home for the first year anyway.

if anything i would take a leave of absence for a year. i might work part time after having kids vs. full time, or just work closer to home (i work in the bronx right now)....i will have to think about it. i def. dont see myself staying home full time though, i just feel like i spent tons of $ on my college education, and not for me to stay home and not use it. i will still be paying off loans as well, and i dont feel right making FH pay them, even if he can afford them. the good thing is that in my field it is really easy to find per diem work or do independent contracting. this way my hours can be somewhat more flexible, and i can spend more time with the kids.
