We have thought of not doing a video. We have booked our photographer and not the videographer yet. I am really not sure. I would love to not spend the money on it, but I am so afraid that I will regret it in the long run

I did think about this at first. But then i realized that I would kick myself in the future and I don't want to regret anything. I decided to not order prints or albums from my photographer. I'm making the albums myself. With the $1500 I'm saving doing that... i got the video from another vendor. Best decision and I am so happy.
Good luck!

Definitely doing it...I would love to be able to watch our ceremony, and our reception, hear the words, feel the emotions again...Get to see things i personally missed at my own reception and be able to show my kids and let them see us make our vows to eachother

For the little things like:
When 1 videographer is taping me walking into the church (from behind), the OTHER one can catch me walking UP the aisle (from the front)...they fade in and out with their special video effects and it looks more like a movie. Also, when the camera is on us, at the altar, if my Mom or his Mom, or whomever cries...or there is a great 'tapeable' moment, the 2nd videographer catches it. I'm personally into more of a movie-type video than the other type.

I also will have 2, its the same company but you have 2 videographers...This way for example and this is just one example, but when you walk down the aisle they can keep it on you the whole time, and also keep it on FH the whole time, you get different reactions that get all edited together

I have heard from married women who did not get video that it is the one thing they regret. I already have mine booked

I bet..I mean, as important as the pictures are, I think the video is as important, or even more important. To be able to watch the entire ceremony and remember how you looked, felt and how excited you were is a feeling I'm sure none of us will ever want to forget. Being able to show them to family, friends and children one day will be priceless.

One example I can share:

My mother lost her father when she was 24..I was 1. She was so incredibly close to him and misses him today as much as she did the day he died. Back in the 70's, the first cameras came out and the middle class were able to afford them. There was no sound, but it was in color. My great aunt or uncle (not sure which one) videotaped the family at a family party. My grandfather was in it and my mom loves having this one memory of him. We've watched it as a family over and over again and it becomes more special each time we watch it. Something like this is priceless...

I have 3 friends who opted not to do a video and that has been their biggest regret about their wedding. IMO try to cut corners elsewhere, but not with precious memories!

I couldn't imagine NOT getting video.

It's funny cause that was more important to me then the photography. I had to choose the video I let FH choose who he wanted for photography haha

But Denise...AG works with someone else?? Never knew that?
