I can't decide

I change my mind constantly when it comes to video.

On one hand, i don't want to spend the money, especially since N.O most of the videos are really corny.

On the other hand, I want the memory.

I think I might have found somone that will do it for $600. I'm going with a friend of mine to check them out next week.

Ok...I have the perfect solution for you! My videographer does a documentary style video. It is not the traditional video. The name of the company is Motion Pictures Inc. They are AMAZING! You shose which package you want ranging from 10-90 minutes. I got the 20 minute bride package. They edit the whole day into 20 minutes with voice overs from interviews with you, FH and parents. For example... when you are walking down the aisle you hear your father saying, 'I cannot believe how amazing she looks. I am so happy for her.' etc. I am so excited. People will want to watch the video and you get all the raw footage as well. FM me for more info. I am obsessed with them!

Pennylane does that too and i get a 20 min highlight video, but also the raw footage and 3 other dvd's. But videographers also charge by the amount of hours they are there, and the work they do after. And also the option of voice overs, but that was like $300-400 each person they interview

Yeah when I went to check out other videographers those 20 min highlight DVD's were included but with the traditional packages. It was so much more expensive. I'm on a tight budget and my video package comes with the interviews because that's the only thing they do...they don't do traditional DVD's. They are the videographers for Access Hollywood so it's very much that type of style. I thought it was very different

Honestly all those video companies do these 20 min dvd's it comes with packages.

yeah the ppl i like dont do traditional videos either.

This is a 20 min dvd they do, a highlight reel bc they have many different type of 20 min dvds

I \don't think we are having one. FH does not like it and we don't have the extra money for it right now.

We are doing it only b/c I may regret it later. I know I will look like a cow through the whole thing and it will be cheesy, but, whatever.

You will not look like a cow! You will look like a beautiful bride!!! But yes, it may be a lil cheesy- but thats part of the fun!

I'm not having video. As much as I'd love to watch a video of a bunch of drunk relatives playing with plasic guitars periodically for the rest of my life, I think I'd rather spend more on my photographs.

Re: is everyone doing video

we are doing tvideo with 2 video ppl for the reaction shots etc as mentioned before.

if u dont think u can afford it...there are other alternatives....someone in your family might be good at that stuff...there are those video cameras that are like $30 each (give certain ppl the camera and have them record different parts of the ceremony/reception), look to hire film students, get someone that will just do raw footage u can get the stuff edited later when u have $ (but im not sure sure about that option) etc. but all in all...i would def have something as another way to look back and remember the memories.
