Do you girls think its fair if I am gonna ask all of my BMs to have their hair up, since I am wearing mine half up?? Plsssss advice :)

It is not unreasonable if it is important to you. However, I would then offer to pay some of the cost...since it is an added on expense.

Well I am paying for their dresses, so I have a feeling that its ok for me to ask for that favor

if you really want that then i guess its not a big deal but what is the reasoning? do you think if they wear their hair half up they will outshine you? not gonna happen no one outshines the bride. my only issue would be, dont you want your girls to be comfortable? what if they hate their hair up? and what if they dont look good with it up? then they wont look as cute in your pictures lol

IMO- I want my girls to wear their hair the way they think looks best on them and they feel comfortable with. It wouldn't hurt to ask though. Maybe they would prefer it that way anyway.

I think it is totally fair to ask them to have their hair a certain way. I have been in bridal parties many times and I never assumed I would do my hair the way I wanted to do it, I would always do whatever the bride asked. I think most girls would assume the bride would tell them how it should be done. JMO. As a bride, I am making sure my BM's hair is totally different than mine.

My friend is asking us to do our hair a certain way for her wedding; at first I thought it was a little too bossy but then I was like whatever, at least I don't have to figure out how to do my hair. It's her wedding so I'm just going to do whatever makes her happy.

Its not a completely unreasonable request.
Personally, I'm not asking my girls to wear their hair any certain way- I want them to be comfortable...they all have different hair and feel comfortable wearing it different ways.

my whole thing is being too matchy matchy. and if you arent going to pay for their hair then I wouldnt even ask. Plus I want my girls to feel comfortable and I know alot of people who are not comfortable with their hair up for whatever reason.

i feel the same way....my friend made us all wear our hair up for her wedding...which was fine for me bc i always like updos...but a few of the girls hate their hair up and wanted half-up...they felt so uncomfortable all night

The only thing that I asked of my girls is not to get their hair dyed a crazy color. But, I think they should get whatever hairstyle would make them feel comfortable.

i dont knwo why any1 would want to be a bm. im VERY vain and for some11 to tell me what to wear and howto wear my hair.. its like torture. no thanks. lol
but no, its not unfair to make a request like that.
just remember, some girls do no look good with their hair up.. so along with ur request, u have to deal with how they look in YOUR pix. ya kno?
