Original post by Bacardi527

to fill in the # of guests on the repsonse card prior to sending it?- for example- Im inviting my cousin and her husband but not her tribe of rug rats and i have an uncle that has had no one steady for quite a few years and unless he finds someone before i get married that hes steady with I would put just one down- Im trying to stay witin my budget and add on people that i realy want to be there by eliminating people i dont know- I mean my close- close people that may be single would be able to bring a guest- is that too cheesy???

I would say that you're guests should fill in the number. You can avoid the problem with how you address the envelope and by putting Adult Reception on the card as well. We were concerned about the same thing and so far we have not had any problems.

Unless you count my FI's uncle and cousins inviting themselves to the wedding. I want to call them up and say there's a reason none of you got an invitation, you're not invited.

What I am doing is putting the names on the inner envelopes and the names on the response cards...I did that so it is absolutely clear who is invited and they would have check accept or regret.

I think Ill have my sister take care of that job- she a BM ill designate that task to her-and If needed then I will say something but its so ridiculous that we have to do this with adults- i just know i have to spend more time on the invitations
