ok my sister is my maid of honor ... we are close but not bestestest friends ... part of the reason is because she lives in NC ... so she is really not around to help me plan and do all those maid of honors things with ...but i love her and i want her to my maid of honor. buttttt i have a bestest friend who has been my best friend since we were 13 ... i want to make her my maid of honor too ... but i dont know if it would hurt my sisters feelings ... i feel like by not making my best friend a maid of honor i am hurting her and by making her a maid of honor it may hurt me sister ... DO i just say forget what they want and do what i want ... which would be to have TWO ... or do i take everyones feelings into consideration?

I have three! I have 2 maids oh honor and 1 matron.

I planned on two because my MOH lives in Paris. But when she was here for the e-party she got very involved in the planning so I didn't want to hurt her by asking a second. Instead I am doing a little something to honor the girl who would have been my 2nd MOH (a little larger bouquet and something special at the rehearsal dinner) because she is already stepping up to help my MOH, as I knew she would.
But we have two best men, because fh has two brothers.
I say do what you think is best.

I have just lone MOH but I am in a wedding 3 months before mine and I'm a co-MOH.....I think you can def have 2. I've been to weddings where there are 2 MOH's....its becoming very common

I was one of two maid of honors for my friends wedding. it was fine except the priest was confused because usually only one moh stand up by the bride and groom. And this time there had to be two. it was a whole fiacso to get 2 chairs up there...lol.

I don't think it's stupid at all. I've been to a few weddings where they had more than one. It's your day.. nothing is stupid as long as you want it.

My cousin Liz who has been my best friend since birth and my best friend from college Erica who I wouldnt be able to function without!!
Liz was always going to be my MOH but I had nightmares about not having Erica as well
