FH and I do NOT provide OOT guests with welcome packages at the hotel? I mean we are spending enough as it is. We're only talking a gift bag with poland spring, candy, magazines, and a map of L.I.

I don't plan on providing it. Too costly for me. I don;t think they need it. I never received one and wouldn't be offended if I didn't. My FH's 2 brothers married last year and didn't do it yet had blocked rooms that many people stayed for.

I see what you're saying, I really do. However these guests that are traveling, we went to ALL of their other family functions and also, it's only an invitation to come to a weddin, not a written order. In other words if it's too costly for them to attend, they most likely won't. The hotel provides maps and brochures plus they get a hot breakfast in the morning included.

If you feel that it is not necessary, don't do it. You don't have to prove your point to us! It is yours and FH day!

Personally I will be doing them and I have people from long island staying at the hotel! They just dont want to drive home after our wedding.

i dont think it is necessary and im not doing one.
my OOT guests are from the bronx and wechester and the trip is TOO far to drink drive and be awake when they are half home.

the ONlY ppl i see myself providing anythign for are OFC (out of country) guests. they do not speak the language and although they are staying with FIL's i IMO only feel that is necessary.

I think its a nice touch, but people won't miss it if they don't have one. FH and I don't plan to do one either.

Not at all. We are not giving them either. We need to cut corners so to speak. The hotel has 24/7 coffee, tea, juice & fruit in lounge and popcorn/brownies in the evening for all guests.
