My nephew who is 18 months has a very bad virus. He has had 103-104 temperature since last Wednesday. He went to the hospital on Sat., but they said it was just a bad cold. Today he has 102 temp.. I have never heard of having a temp for this long. Does anyone know of any type of virus like this that is going around. We were supposed to spend Mothers Day with them, but I think I am going to keep Jake very far away from him.

a fever for over a week, that's too long. I know there are colds and virus' going around, lots of my daughter;s friends are presenting with a fever, headache, stuffy nose, but a fever that does not break after 3-4 days should be evaluated by a doctor. Maybe your nephew needs antibiotics.
