FH has been thinking for awhile about what to get his gm's..they are all young guys. Everything I suggest he hated... cuff links, flasks.. he didnt want any of that. The only thing he liked were yankee tickets but we are getting married in Feb. and its not baseball season yet so I couldnt even buy them in advance. They all have really nice cars that they are obsessed with and FH wants to give them all a gift certificate to get their car detailed after the winter ' since everyone has to detail it anyway' and he knows its something they will definitly use. Is that a weird thing to give???

lol I know.. its just the way they are Detailing is when they wash wax, and do a bunch of other stuff to the car.. it takes all day and comes out looking brand new off the showroom floor

I agree. It may not be a 'traditional' GM gift, but it useful and personal.
i agree go with it cause all the other stuff is nice but it never gets used!!

I missed this post over the weekend.
what a terrific idea for GM's gifts! I actually took the liberty to pass the idea along to my FH, who is seriously consdering it now (he and his brother's are TOTALLY into their cars!!)
Very practical gift idea, and it will probably be much more appreciated than the traditional groomsmen ideas

It sounds like a nice idea if it's something they will use.
Yankee tickets will be onsale well before that. They go on sale way before Spring Training even starts.
I love the Leatheman tools idea that someone posted.

thanks everyone I guess thats what we are going with for the gm's ... except my brother he dosent drive yet (15) so maybe to same value gift certificate to circuit city
