is this normal for a LI home?

Ok dont know why im looking at MLSLI.com but just to look at options, not sure exactly where were gonna move to lol...but im seeing 5-6 bedroom homes for about $400k-500k, i keep looking for other info to see what else is wrong with the place, it just seems so low for a 5 bedroom home In queens i cant even find a 2 bedroom for that much

I might definitely look into LI then if thats the case

thats what i am wondering, THANK YOu lol i should've explained my post clearly ahahahaha but im sitting here in shock and going back and forth looking at more homes...Yeah i was curious if this is a typical price or if its because the market went down because some areas the market going down didnt effect the prices yet. WOW i should wait until it drops even more hahaha

well, LI island is definately cheaper than queens. My sister is looking into a Condo in Forest Hills for 550K and it's only a 2 bedroom. And it's a condo. I'm not from LI so I'm not that family with Nassau County, but also look at the property tax and the size of the lot.

or for example another reason i asked is bc in queens you cant find a 5 bedroom home for that price ANYWHERE, i mean even a 2 bedroom at that price is good. But queens prices have gone up SOOOO MUCH bc of how close to the city we are

yeah im by the forest hills area so thats why im shocked bc just condo's are insane, or even where i grew up in astoria apartments are more than those homes. The property tax wasn't THAT bad, i need to find out whats wrong with the homes hahahaha but like randi said the market has gone down

If I had known what I know now, I would've waited. My sister is waiting too but thats because she wants to save up at least 20% for downpayment.

Do you and FH both work in the city?
