Did you see the other post on italian songs, its on this page, Lauretta is a great one , sad and meaningful if you can understand the words.

Hi jozie, when i say sad , I mean that the song talks about his little girl growing up, memories, now she's getting married, it's an emotional song. Listen to it.

Figlia Mia sounds perfect, but wanted to add that my sister danced to Oh My Papa w/ our father. Also recently learned that he thought it was too slow (LOL). Ti Amo is also suddenly running through my head, but don't know how you'd feel about that. It's a love song (although many songs written for lovers are used by parent/child b/c in the end, it's all about LOVE).
