I'm at work too - people calling for tax appointments starting today - I was in PA yesterday - it was 0 when I got up so I guess that isn't so bad

Ugh tax appointments. An idiot called last week and was like, 'I'd like to make an appointment to do my taxes.' I was like, 'ok, do you have all of your information?'

Her: I don't know, what do I need to bring?

(Keep in mind, she preempted the whole convo with 'I did my taxes with you last year.')

Me: Any tax info you may have like W2s, 1099s, Mortgage statements, etc.

Her: I'm married now.

Me: Then you have to bring all of your husband's tax info too. Please give us a call when you have everything ready and then we can make an appointment for you.

Her: We got married in 2011, I need to bring his info?

At this point I just repeated myself and imagined doing these

Every year - it never ceases to amaze me. Someone called this morning for an appointment for April 15.

ILs have decided they're leaving for FL on the 14th. They're sick of people coming in last minute and expecting them to drop everything and help them.
They're right, but now I'm stuck dealing with the crazies.

Could be fun I guess... in a very sadistic kind of way!

I know the feeling and...just to make your day...I assume you know the deadline was extended to April 17 because April 16 is holiday in Washington DC -

and then we have....'Well.....I'm going to be in Florida until April 3 so having an appointment April 5 will be difficult - I would like the 9th since it doesn't have to be filed until April 17th.....
