How does everybody feel about this? I went w/ my girls to go BM dress shopping this weekend and found these dresses. I love them - and they all do to but the yellow that it comes in is HIDEOUS and this just looked gorgeous on them (color i mean). Do you girls think that I should opt for a different color??? I feel like I would be fine with it but I have others that are saying taht i should stand out. Ppl should know who the bride is - MEEEEEEEEE!
i would put them in a different color. what is your color scheme? does it have to be yellow? maybe you can pick an alternate color? ivory is a bride's color and i wouldn't have them wear it

Personally I am not a fan of having the BM or anyone else at the wedding in a color close to what the bride should be wearing. BUT if you feel that you would be ok with it then go for it. Just make sure your dress is the same color. You dont want your dress to be white and they are in ivory.
That being said I love the style of the dress and i think it looks good on your girls.

well my colors are tellow and fuschia. the yellow is this mustard color that would't flatter 1/2 the girls. Barijay's fuschia color is nice but i feel like that might be too much? what do you girls think?

you should certainly do what you love...and yeah, everyone will know who the bride is.
But- i think the thing you have to worry about is pictures. When you look at wedding your wedding pictures, the eye goes right to the bride. Mentally because everyone is looking for the bride first!! But, in terms of what your eye is drawn too, its the fact that the bride is standing out.
So for the day of, it won't matter really since you ARE the center of attention.
but in pics, you won't stand out as much as if they were in a different color. And, it may end up looking a little stark and washed out.

especially if you are gonna do a flowwy dress like that, the fushia would be AMAZING. yeah, a bit bold...but there is something to be said for a wedding that can be bold and tasteful at the same time.

i think fuschia would be really pretty, especially for a summer wedding.

i would google search pictures of wedding parties in ivory. It may be something you like. But, lets face it, this is the only day a girl can get away with SO many things..like purposefully sticking out in a WHITE gown!! And the other thing too is that everyone expects that. And, if say someone FMIL decided she was going to wear anything in the white family, people would STRONGLY disagree with that. And for good reason. White = bridal. And while there are a lot of traditions that I don't think hold true or matter as much anymore, that is one that generally everyone can agree on.

I had this one idea that I LOVED- it was something about flowers. And I was SURE I was going to do it. And then my big sister (soinloverwe2) pointed out a few issues with that. And at first, I was SO discouraged. But after I really thought about it, and applied what she thought and looked at pictures, I realized that she was totally right. What I thought was such a great idea in theory just did not transfer well in practice.
And remember, when you loved it in the store, you loved it while 3 of your friends were looking GREAT in them. Not while you were standing next to them in your wedding gown, you know?
but bottom line- do what you love and what you want. you may find that after thinking about it, that is exactly how you want you wedding to look.

Personally I wouldnt put them in ivory but those dresses are really beautiful. If it doesnt bother you then go for it!

I LOOOVEE the style of the dresses and your girls are totally rocking them.
But what color is your dress? like another bride said, if you dress is white and they are in ivory they will look 'dirty' next to you.
I like the dresses in ivory too but I dont think for your wedding day. Look into the pink color some more and do a little more research you might be able to find the yellow you are looking for in very similar style dresses.
Look at your pics after the fact - yea, people know you are the bride lol that's a given, but you really do want to be the one who sticks out.
BUUUUTTT to be a total biatch lol it is your day - and if you really love the idea of it you have to go w/ your gut. What does FH think?? does he have any opinions on it???
Maybe do some google searches for ivory BM dresses and check out other pics too.
