Evita - I had a similar problem - my girls are in periwinkle type blue and a champagne sash... and my MOH was going to be in champagne dress and blue sash... i was ok with it and everyone talked me out of it. the one comment that got me was 'when the photog takes JUST BP pics, adn shes in champagne and the others are in blue - she will look like the bride' made sense to me. think of those pics too, not just the ones you are in with them. Honestly - if you like it - stick to your guns and go for it.
ETA - I went with all the girls in blue with the champagne sash. - even my MOH. if that helps

I had this one idea that I LOVED- it was something about flowers. And I was SURE I was going to do it. And then my big sister (soinloverwe2) pointed out a few issues with that. And at first, I was SO discouraged. But after I really thought about it, and applied what she thought and looked at pictures, I realized that she was totally right. What I thought was such a great idea in theory just did not transfer well in practice.
And remember, when you loved it in the store, you loved it while 3 of your friends were looking GREAT in them. Not while you were standing next to them in your wedding gown, you know?
but bottom line- do what you love and what you want. you may find that after thinking about it, that is exactly how you want you wedding to look.
my idea was girls in yellow with fuschia flowers. I love thebold ness of it. Maybe I can switch the dress color with the flowers cuz the fuschia for this line is very nice still. I just thought it would be almost too much. It is really bright

you should certainly do what you love...and yeah, everyone will know who the bride is.
But- i think the thing you have to worry about is pictures. When you look at wedding your wedding pictures, the eye goes right to the bride. Mentally because everyone is looking for the bride first!! But, in terms of what your eye is drawn too, its the fact that the bride is standing out.
So for the day of, it won't matter really since you ARE the center of attention.
but in pics, you won't stand out as much as if they were in a different color. And, it may end up looking a little stark and washed out.

Are you sure it doesnt come in another color? The bari jay site has a daffodil color thats a very nice yellow.
I LOOOVEE the style of the dresses and your girls are totally rocking them.
But what color is your dress? like another bride said, if you dress is white and they are in ivory they will look 'dirty' next to you.
I like the dresses in ivory too but I dont think for your wedding day. Look into the pink color some more and do a little more research you might be able to find the yellow you are looking for in very similar style dresses.
Look at your pics after the fact - yea, people know you are the bride lol that's a given, but you really do want to be the one who sticks out.
BUUUUTTT to be a total biatch lol it is your day - and if you really love the idea of it you have to go w/ your gut. What does FH think?? does he have any opinions on it???
Maybe do some google searches for ivory BM dresses and check out other pics too.
ooh, my dress is actually going to be a darker ivory than these dresses - that would probably not be right - on top of that, i have 2 dresses and the second one is lighter.
i know it's my day and im running out of options - there are very few dresses that i like and within a budget i'd want my girls to spend plus my MOH's (my sisters) are being b*tches and dont want to try on anymore
i think i'm going to have to llook at more pics

well, don't write off David's Bridal. They have BEAUTIFUL dresses and some that are really trendy and in AMAZING colors. ANd obviously, GREAT prices.
And tell you MOH's that this is part of agreeing to be in a wedding party!!!! =)

i have the same problem!! i am in love with this dress i think its the middle one in your pic !!! i got so much crap from everyone i showed! i say if you don't know that i am the bride why are you at my wedding?? then again i have done a lot of things that have pissed people off about my wedding i haven't decided 100 percent on what i am doing because none of my bm have tried on a dress yet but i think that you should do whatever you want if your sure that your okay with them wearing that then go for it!!
ETA: but the bright color is hot too

oooo OR you could play with SHADES of fucshia. Put the girls in a paler version of if, and punch it up with brighter flowers, or a bright flower intheir hair. And then for example, if you had a menu with a fuschia border, all you would have to do is toggle the border with another one in the lighter color.

i think you can!! Truthfully, the BM's dresses in pictures are almost like an accessory for the bride...so it will make you look SO glam.
