How does everybody feel about this? I went w/ my girls to go BM dress shopping this weekend and found these dresses. I love them - and they all do to but the yellow that it comes in is HIDEOUS and this just looked gorgeous on them (color i mean). Do you girls think that I should opt for a different color??? I feel like I would be fine with it but I have others that are saying taht i should stand out. Ppl should know who the bride is - MEEEEEEEEE!

oooo OR you could play with SHADES of fucshia. Put the girls in a paler version of if, and punch it up with brighter flowers, or a bright flower intheir hair. And then for example, if you had a menu with a fuschia border, all you would have to do is toggle the border with another one in the lighter color.
i've toyed around w/ that idea also - so many things to think about and less than 10 months left
girllllllllllll thank you so much for all the advice! and thanks to all the other girls as well for your advices and opinions! really appreciate it - this is why i love you LIW girls!

Personally, I wouldn't want anyone in a similar color to me, but it's how you feel about it.

2010'er crashing..
my MOH was going to have her BMs in ivory with pink and orange accents for her june 2009 wedding (which was called off)
i can't find any pics online, because we found them back in 2008. but the looks were gorgeous.
i think as long as you have a bold accent color it wont take away from you at all.

Yeah but brightness is WONDERFUL- especially in a summer wedding. And it keeps the whole bridal party looking young and modern. which is really nice.
here- not the exact combination...but bright..and really really beautiful
oh i love this! maybe i can pull of fuschia!
i think you can!! Truthfully, the BM's dresses in pictures are almost like an accessory for the bride...so it will make you look SO glam.
i better be glam!
so it's not to bubblegum/fruit punch ish?

no problem!!!
I LOVE getting into this kind of stuff for people!!! I like to be real creative and think hard about stuff...truthfully, it is easier for me to do for someone else then for myself!
THinking WAY too much about things is good when someone else needs help- it lets me give tons of options. BUT when it comes to my own stuff...MAN...it makes it almost impossible to make up my mind!!
=)

well that all depends on the fabric and color. AND on accessories...that's where you have to watch your say, flower colors. You want to do something that pops. But you have to be careful that the comparison doesn't make the pink look like a crayon.

well my colors are tellow and fuschia. the yellow is this mustard color that would't flatter 1/2 the girls. Barijay's fuschia color is nice but i feel like that might be too much? what do you girls think?
Are you sure it doesnt come in another color? The bari jay site has a daffodil color thats a very nice yellow.
look at what most websites call 'tropical' bouquets. its like, yellows and oranges...
OH and make sure the dress you pick is modern. Something VERY traditional will probably make it look a little juvenile
do you think any of the 3 dresses i posted are traditional?

Re: Ivory BM Dresses
look at these flowers!! THEY LOOK LIKE CANDY!!!
you could do something like this...but have the BM's reversed- mostly yellow with the pops of the pink, since they will be in the pink dress...but maybe toss some more white in yours- make it a little more bridal
Thats entirely upto you.. My friend did her Bms in a ivory /light chapagne color and it looked AMAZING!!! If you want to stand out more maybe pick a little bit of a darker shade for the BMs..
Whats funny is that I'm looking at the same exact dresses! The same thing happened - I didnt like my colors in that dress. I still havent decided but it think I might do light pink and the sashes in ivory.
IMO, I wouldnt do the dresses in ivory. It might looked washed out in pics and plus you WANT to stand out!
