How does everybody feel about this? I went w/ my girls to go BM dress shopping this weekend and found these dresses. I love them - and they all do to but the yellow that it comes in is HIDEOUS and this just looked gorgeous on them (color i mean). Do you girls think that I should opt for a different color??? I feel like I would be fine with it but I have others that are saying taht i should stand out. Ppl should know who the bride is - MEEEEEEEEE!

Whats funny is that I'm looking at the same exact dresses! The same thing happened - I didnt like my colors in that dress. I still havent decided but it think I might do light pink and the sashes in ivory.
IMO, I wouldnt do the dresses in ivory. It might looked washed out in pics and plus you WANT to stand out!
you have great taste

Thats entirely upto you.. My friend did her Bms in a ivory /light chapagne color and it looked AMAZING!!! If you want to stand out more maybe pick a little bit of a darker shade for the BMs..
Heres a few pics I found HTH
that first pic - that's a complete wash. I have 2 sisters that look like me that'll be standing next to me so that's no good

i LOVE those flowers!!! what are they?
plumeria
it comes in tons of colors. And, its one of those flowers that look GREAT fake- like in 'real touch.' Which could save you TONS of money. 2 of my sisters did fake flowers and i LOVE that I still have my bouquets from their weddings...and they are SO happy to have their wedding bouquets bright as ever- on display right next to their wedding photos.

Re: Ivory BM Dresses
can you show us the pink from the designer website??
what about doing it in black with a white sash...then you can keep the colorful pink bouquets??
sorry if this confuses you more
i was inclined to say do the ivory BM dresses its your day
then i saw the pics the girls posted and i changed my mind they look boring sorry
but I think the pink dresses will be great, with pink and yellow flowers
the dresses themselves are very pretty and flattering on your girls!

I think you should do whatever you want!!! I will probably have to go with a bright white dress though. That way you still stand out!!!

i was trying to avoid full black as it's a summer wedding and i wanted more colors!
ugh - i just realized that the pink for this line is hot pink and not the deeper fuschia i was looking for - maybe it'll be different when i see it.
My girls are all in ivory... You have to do whats right for you. I was totally againest it at first but once I saw pictures from others wedding I totally changed my mind. I don't know if I would of done it though if I was having my wedding in the summer. I only did it because I'm getting married in the winter so it would be a snowball wedding and second I could do any color with the flowers then...... I am soooo glad I decided to do it and my girls are even happier because they all said they can totally see themselves wearing the dress again!

I was also looking at the same dress and was thinking about yellow. The color that they showed me was a very light yellow called DAFFODIL not a dark. maybe they showed you only one of the colors. You can look at the color on the website to get a better idea. I hope that helps.
I think you should do WHAT YOU WANT!!! THIS IS YOUR WEDDINg... YOU ARE PAYIN FOR IT SO U GET TO DO WHAT U WANT...
I think regardless of the color you do, YOU WILL ALWAYS STAND OUT....
How DO YOU FEEL about having the BP in Ivory?
i felt fine with it in the store but i'm getting so many ppl telling me that i need to stand out...and now the whole picture thing. oh i dont know what to do
I had this one idea that I LOVED- it was something about flowers. And I was SURE I was going to do it. And then my big sister (soinloverwe2) pointed out a few issues with that. And at first, I was SO discouraged. But after I really thought about it, and applied what she thought and looked at pictures, I realized that she was totally right. What I thought was such a great idea in theory just did not transfer well in practice.
And remember, when you loved it in the store, you loved it while 3 of your friends were looking GREAT in them. Not while you were standing next to them in your wedding gown, you know?
but bottom line- do what you love and what you want. you may find that after thinking about it, that is exactly how you want you wedding to look.
my idea was girls in yellow with fuschia flowers. I love thebold ness of it. Maybe I can switch the dress color with the flowers cuz the fuschia for this line is very nice still. I just thought it would be almost too much. It is really bright
I LOVE the idea of the fuschia dresses with the yellowish flowers. It is bold while still being elegant!!! As much as people are going to obviously know who the bride is, the pictures may end up looking a little too uniform if you get the ivory. They are BEAUTIFUL, but I think you may regret it a few months down the line. Oh and you are in the summer, so that fuschia/yellow combo will look AMAZING!!!!!
Something similar happened to me. I couldn't find the purple color I had in my head, so I just switched around my color scheme and I actually love it so much more!

i actually didn't mind the daffodil color so much except it doesn't come in one of the dresses. I'm probably going to pick 2 out of those 3 dresses and the one i'm picking is in mustard only. I checked out the website already. grr

Oh well yeah that is what I mean. I just switched the colors around WITHIN my color scheme(didn't change what I wanted)- the same way you are contemplating with the flowers and dresses.
I had to find a designer who made the colors I was going for and then picked a dress. It was just easier that way. I do not think you will regret the pink if it is something that you really like. If not, maybe you should keep looking for a designer that makes the colors you want?
