Hi everyone! I am a newly engaged and getting married in November. I just found this board and spent the last 45 minutes catching up on all the posts. This is such a great thing for jewish brides to be able to share.

Welcome gals! This is a great thread, but tends to get lost every once in awhile, so I hope we can keep it active. G&D, I see you're another President Caterers bride - there are a few of us on here - 1 or 2 at OJC and about 3-4 at EMJC. I love OJC - it's beautiful!

OJC is beautiful and as Jax430 said a Pres. Caterer's establishment. My wedding was at EMJC as you can see and it was wonderful. I will definitely be keeping up with this board to help answer questions if I can!

I think we should get our own board. Not to be separatist, but to discuss strictly jewish issues. It's hard to follow one long thread about so many things....

I agree..I've thought about it before. It's hard if you post on this thread asking one question and someone immediately posts asking another...questions get lost in the shuffle, and it's hard to know who is responding to what.

How can we petition for this? I think it would be really helpful. They may feel it's separating people, but I think it would help us learn form each other. I've actually never been to a Jewish wedding, I've read a lot, but I need to know about real experiences and what really happens!

I'm sorry...but I have to disagree. Then, everyone would want their own board for each topic...There are a few 'official' threads, like the Westbury Manor Thread, or the Jack and Rose thread....should they petition for their own boards as well? My suggestion would be to post a new thread on the 04 or 05 board...they move much slower, so they won't fall to the back so quickly. Sorry....JMO.

As long as we keep posting, it moves up to the first page on the main board.

In any event, this is such a useful tool for us soon to be jewish brides.

In case anyone is looking for a place for Yarmalkes, yarmalkes.com is very reasonable, cheapest i have found them so far.
