We used the The Next Faze a Faze 4 band from Great Neck. They were wonderful! I also used B rett M atthews for photography. Both vendors were familiar with all the Jewish customs.
Good Luck!
Me too on the band! I LOVED them! I really can't wait until the wedding!! Only 73 more days to go...
The Next Faze was unbelievable. We play our video over and over again just to hear the music. Some of my guests thought that some of the songs were a CD...they couldn't believe the talent!
One word of advice is just be sure to be specific on how long you want the horah. Mine lasted for what seemed like a lifetime. When it was finally over I was exausted and sweaty. I know they kept it going b/c everyone was having a blast but I should have said to cut it after 10 minutes.
You will truly love them,....I am so excited for you!!!

That is great advice on the length of the Hora. I will definitely mention that to them when we meet with them. What was your wedding song? Did you find that they played the songs on your request list or mostly their own songs. They are so great that we want them to play all our favorite dance songs!!

Our wedding song was I believe In You and Me by the Four Tops...it was incredible....I think better than the Four Tops. We didn't request too many individual songs...but requested the types of music we want and they played exactly what we wanted. They only missed one song I would have liked but I was having such a great time it didnt matter.
Jamie (the band leader) is really great and feeling out the crowd and keeping them up and dancing.

I walked down to Al Kol Eileh. Everyone else walked to Evev Shel Shoshanim. I like traditional Jewish music.

L'Shana Tova fellow jewish brides!Onto wedding realted things... Did any of you or will any of you have/had programs? If you did, can you post pictures of your program? We are looking to do our programs on our own and have no idea of where to start! I have 61 days left and I feel like time is dragging and going so fast at the same time!

Re: Jewish Brides
HI! I am Jewish and my fiance is not. We got a reformed rabbi to officate our wedding (in DEC). I asked him all these questions and he told me I do not have to cover my shoulders; the people who are signing the ketubah are close jewish friends but they ARE NOT overly religious (i.e. they do not keep kosher). I have tattoos all over and he didn't have a problem if they are showing. The kipah (i can't spell it either) I'm not too sure about.BUT, it all depends on which rabbi you interview. The first one was more on a religious scale although he was reformed. I was even told I needed to cover my face with the veil which I did not want to do. I can give you our rabbis name and number if you do not have one. I immediately liked him. Nice old man! And, it is coincidence that I know people who have used him for names, etc and I heard not only was he funny but really nice!
