Jordan Almonds and Favor Questions

I'm thinking about getting Jordan almonds to give away to our guests. Do you know if the Jordan almonds themselves constitute the favor or do we have to get a 'real' favor to go along with them?

Jordan Almonds and Favor Questions

I don't think of them as favors. They probably cost about 50 cents and wedding favors should be a little more.
I've seen them put on each plate or tied to the favor

FYI- do you know you are supposed to give 5 almonds to represent happiness, health, longevity, wealth, and fertility.

This - I plan on doing the jordan almonds too but along with another favor.

Jordan Almonds and Favor Questions

In Italian tradition you put 5 almonds in tulle netting and then a ribbon with your names and date go around that and that goes on top of the favor.

I did not know that (neither FH or I are Italian)! My MOH did that for her wedding, so I thought it's just something done at weddings for good luck.

Jordan Almonds and Favor Questions

I have seen them given as favors without anything wlse.
My FH says 'why are we paying all this money and still have to give them a gift (favor) for coming. We partied and fed you...at any other type of party people bring the host something without thoughtof aanything in return'

I guess if its in budget to do a second favor than do it. No matter the cost of the favor I would assume the people coming are their because they love you not for a favor they may never use or forget about.
