I don't think so. Plus its your decision. I definitely say its fine because its not like she can go to your bach. party and do all the things the other BM can do.

Re: Jr Bridesmaid?
I know some people might think it is to old...I am having my FSD (15 @ wedding) a JBM..just b/c I do not want a lot of younger people in my BP..I already have my daughter (15) as my MOH

Re: Jr Bridesmaid?
Depends how old the rest of your BMs are. If your other BMs are in their 20s, then yes, I think 17 is too old to be a JBM. If they're in their 30s or 40s, then 17 isn't too old to be a JBM.

Re: Jr Bridesmaid?
I never really understood why there needs to be a distinction. If she's the only questionable one, then why make her a JR? And at what point does that distinction play in?
Just make her a BM and she won't do the big girl things the rest of you do.

Re: Jr Bridesmaid?
Personally, I disagree with that. If you make her a BM, she'll think she's 'part of the team' and she won't be able to partake in the big girl things because of her age. I have this problem - my sister will be 19 at my wedding and my cousin will be 20 - both underage - since it's important to me that they are both part of everything, they're full-fledged BMs and we'll just go to a place that's only 18+ for my bachelorette party, and i'm cool with that.
that's just me though and I understand how people could feel differently, but if she was the ONLY one, she'll probably be upset when she's left out.

I think 17 might be too old to be a Jr. bridesmaid.

What I meant was, Jr is just a title. So if she's 17 and the only one, just make her a BM and then make the rest of the arrangements accordingly. I don't see how making her a Jr. affects anything, unless I'm missing something... whether you make that distinction or not, you're still going to have to make the decisions on how much to include, what Bach party arrangements to make, etc.

Re: Jr Bridesmaid?
@ Jamie - I actually like this idea except FH doesnt want to add anyone on his side.. and a JR bridesmaid doesn't have to be escorted by anyone.. Unless I just make her a BM and have an uneven bridal party??

Re: Jr Bridesmaid?
I don't see anything wrong with that, and just have one GM with 2 BMs
The escort thing is the type of thing I meant when I said I might be missing something about a Jr Bm distinction, btw.

ITA....if they arent old enough to be involved in bach party things they can be a jr. bridesmaid. also.....shes not an adult (18)
Its up to you. However, she might want to wear an older dress (not a jr. BM dress)

She is def the type to feel left out but I know shes not old enough and I know the rest of my bridal party will not take her into consideration when they are planning the adult things.. They will forget shes under-aged or just ignore the fact that she is .. This is why I was looking for another roll for her in the wedding..and now I wont have to add a guy to pair her up because we have a semi- big bridal party and fh is insisting he is not adding anyone else

All of my girls are wearing the same dress..excluding the FG...I just do not want a whole BP of girls under or just turned 18
I think it is totally up to you...and I agreee with Jamie you can have an uneven number

My bridesmaids will all be 28-30 My sister/MOH will be 24 and she cant stand my cousin so i cant ask her any type of questions about this because her answer is always to forget about my cousin lol

Re: Jr Bridesmaid?
My cousin is my junior bridesmaid and she's 18. I don't have room for her as a bridesmaid and she's too young to go to the bachelorette party or help pay for anything...so I made her a junior bridesmaid
