Oct. Bride

They will give you a suggested tip when you give your final payment - I had less people then you but they suggested I give between 1700 - 2100 and when they saw our faces they said we could give $1500 - well we didn't - We gave $800 - we gave it at the end - and what can they say? Plus, we called them two days before and told them we didn't want to pay for 8 people that we weren't sure about - well they wouldn't let us do this - we wanted to pay for them on the day if they showed. Well they didn't show and that was 8 people we paid for (so we looked at it like that's the rest of your tip) let me know what you do. We truly coulnd't afford to give anymore. I think 1500 is crazy - on top of all the money already given.

Carlyle

My friend got married there in March and they nickel and dimed her for everything. She gave less than their suggested tip and she felt like they treated her horribly after that. I have also heard stories about people who wanted to postpone their weddings the weekend after the tragedy, but Carlyle wouldn't allow them to and said that they would have to have the wedding that weekend or lose all the money. I wouldn't suggest that place to anyone.

That was not my experience at all....

The service is not to be compared - and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Oct. Bride you have nothing to worry about at all. Carlyle is the perfect setting for a wedding and your guests will rave for months to come. You have made the right choice. If I had the money I would of tipped more -
