he didn't ask anyone.....my father passed away and my mom can't keep a secret for her life!! plus we already live together, so we kind of knew that she approved!

He sure did....He asked both of them while I was in the shower one morning....I was sooo surprised when he told me he asked both of them together.....And he said he wasn't nervous at all....He is so awesome!!!

No. He wanted to, but he already had asked me, and my parents live in FL and he didnt know them too well.

FH spoke to my dad before he went ring shopping to tell him that he wanted to ask me to marry him and for my dad's permission. But FH was upset that he tried calling the day before, and the day we got engaged to tell my dad he was going to do it that day, but my father NEVER answers his cell phone (for anyone, I don't even know why he has the cell phone) so FH could not get in touch with him. And he did not want to call the house and get my mom because she would probably have ruined the surprise for me (not on purpose, she just gets too excited and has to start telling people). So he was upset about that, but yes he did ask my dad before he shopped for rings.

yes, mine did. But it was a technicality. He asked at dinner, after we all went to the jeweler my dad knew to have the engagement ring designed. Hmmmmm... I wonder if he's gonna propose! lol...

yes.....the day before we went to mystic conn to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary he asked my parents (w/o me knowing) my mom still gets teary-eyed telling the story and my father of all people still gets choked up to when he tells it and no one else knew except my parents until we called everyone from mystic....so he did the right thing =)

He actually asked my mom's permission only. My parents are divorced and I don't have the greatest relationship with my father and he has said some nasty stuff to FH (he used to work for him). So I understand why he didn't ask him.

He asked my dad the first time, but my mom can't keep a secret to save her life!
The second time he asked my mom and they went together to get my ring. I should have known because I called her to say hello and she practically hung up on me. LOL!
