I’ve been with FH for 5 years now and I have never considered it.
Why would you throw away 5 years… 5 years of memories, laughs, love, tears, emotions and friendship, for a kiss? Or even an hour of something more? Why would you throw away what you’ve worked so hard to build, for sex? And if you did throw it all away for the sex/kissing/whatever, should you even be with the person your currently with? And was ‘getting off’ worth throwing it all away?
Yes I realize that some people cheat b/c they shouldn’t be with their SO… and some people have found love in the person they cheated with.. I’m not really referring to those people. I’m really talking about people who did it b/c of a small crush, or cold feet or situations like that.
ETA: hope i don't sound too harsh or preachy!!!

Re: Just curiouse, RE: cheating
Never did and never would and I know for a fact that FH would never cheat on me.
The only reason I can say that with 99.9% certainty is because before we got together FH was in a relationship for 3 years with this girl who cheated on him (which is what broke them up and how I got a hold on him lol but that's not the point) and he was sooooooooooooo unbelievably hurt by it that he has no tolerance whatsoever for that type of thing. He always says he would never want me to go through what he went through when he found out he was cheated on.

I have never cheated on FI and never will, but I think each situation is completely different. I know plenty of people who have cheated or been cheated on and they went to counseling or managed to work through it. I know plenty who could never get past it and the relationship ended. Every situation is different and every person is different.

i agree...I have never cheated, but you don't really know what your reaction will be until it happens...I think that a strong relationship can survive, if both parties are willing to work and address the underlying issues...but every relationship is different...

Re: Just curiouse, RE: cheating
I kissed another guy when we were in HS after we were together for a little while, but we both agreed at time we were in 16 and it was nothing...but I would never do anything now and if he did I would be pissed, but I can't say what I would do, let's hope I am never in that situation

We would never do anything like that to each other. We know each others worth. It's not worth it to do, to high of a price to pay.

Re: Just curiouse, RE: cheating
I have never cheated on fh nor would I ever. I unfortunatly come from an extended family of cheaters. My grandfather would go 'out for milk' and meet up with one of his girlfriends. Then it got to the point that they picked him up at the house. It destroyed my poor Granny. They had 3 sons 1 daughter. All 3 sons cheated on their wives and ruined their families. To the best of my knowledge my mom has not cheated. I see what it does to families and I would never do that to my fh or future children.

I think that if there is something in your relationship that is causing one to think about cheating, they should end the relationship they are in first...it is the respectful thing to do.
My feeling exactly!
absolutely agree! never ever did and never ever will....i know the never say never thing but ive been cheated on and i told fh from our very first date that i can work through anything in a relationship EXCEPT CHEATING! i dont understand it theres noooooooooo reason for it if u feel like ur interested in other men/women BREAK IT OFF!
