Just engaged! Where to get married on Long Island?

Hi all, I am brand new to the site (and to planning!) and I need advice on where to get married on Long Island! The budget is small and we'll be inviting about 100 people. We are thinking of a summer wedding with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Any suggestions from anyone who was blown away by their venue?? Thanks a million!

The Riviera in Massapequa. On the water, outdoor ceremony and CH. 100 would fit nicely in there as well.

All places listed are beautiful. The most affordable places with outdoor space on the water that I looked at were Coral House, Swan Club and Riviera.

Oooh, sounds IDEAL for the OFC...check out my review here and there website here !

I got married there and it was a very small wedding of about 50 ppl (they could accommodate 100 as well or even more) and we had the ceremony out back on their deck overlooking the water...perfect!

hey there best thing to do - pick up Locations Sites & services magazine...it'll tell u every reception venue in new york, what they offer, what they accomadate, approx. price range & lots of photos. it helped me narrow down my search a lot! from what u're saying, i'd reccomend the Old Field Club, The winter garden pavillion at Fox Hollow, Lands End, and the Country Garden Estate at East Wind(the smaller of the 3..it's SO beautiful!)..there's more too - but those are just a few i know of that are really nice! anyways, good luck!

Congrats on the Engagement. I highly recommend Riviera in Massapequa. I've been to a wedding there and I'm getting married there in November. It is a very homey place and the people there are wonderful to work with.
