Well, I want to welcome you to the boards and congratulate you on your engagement. How exciting this time is for you guys!! Have fun with all of your planning and just don't stress. Hi! Don't get overwhelmed, don't let others pressure you into decisions and have fun planning!
Also, the first three vendors I would suggest looking into are reception hall (esp if you are having a wedding during the primo wedding months - like May, June), band/DJ (they can book out fast) and photo!

I discovered that the word 'budget' although used quite frequently in the wedding world, goes out the window as soon as you book you hall. LOL Most importantly, have fun together!
