Just needed to share this with someone who wouldn't laugh

Hi, I don't know what I thought was going on before as we booked everything, but today reality hit me i'm getting married in 17 weeks. Today we met with the Msgr Lisante and finalized the ceremony, finished our dispensation papers. Then i went to the townhouse to make a payment. My FI really wanted shot glasses as our favor however it wasn't in our budget at all but while I was there I priced them they were half of what anyone else was going to charge me so I order them to surprise him with. (Meanwhile every night he has made cd's). I walked into the Chapel while we were there, I think this is when it hit me I'm getting married, this is my Wedding I'm planning. Sorry to babble but I need to talk out this amazing feeling somewhere. My FI is just laughing at me. Well thanks for listening. Nicolle

He won't be laughing the day you get married! :)

I think a lot of the guys think we're all crazy for the way we stress over all the details of the wedding. My husband would grudgingly go with me on all the planning appointments, and would listen (most of the time, at least with half an ear) when I had concerns, worries or sheer enthusiasm, although sometimes I know he just got plain sick of hearing my wedding talk. I know the feelings you're feeling. I think we all get that at some point in the weeks leading up to the wedding. I'm sure your fiance is just laughing out of his happiness at seeing your excitement. What made me chuckle on the day of our wedding was hearing the nervousness in my soon-to-be husband's voice when we talked on the phone just hours before the ceremony. And it was so sweet when I got down the aisle and his hand was shaking! I never would have thought the roles would be reversed. Everyone (including myself) was amazed at how composed I was, so now I tease him when the time is right about how nervous he was that afternoon! He denies it, but his brother backs me up on this!! :)

I think that much have been an amazing moment

I hope that when my wedding gets to the 17 week mark I can feel that too. It must almost be like when a women really thinks about the fact that she is going to have a baby in a few week. We rush through our daily lives, running errands, taking notes, meeting friends. Sometimes it is just nice to stop and look around at what is really going on. Good Luck with the last minute stuff!
