So we have a friend who just got engage about 2-3 months ago. At that time all of our plans were set. She said that she wanted a fall wedding and asked me about crest hallow... She told everyone that she was going to have a fall wedding, She knows that our wedding is at Crest Hallow, in the Emerald Room with an outdoor cocktail hour in July. Now all of a sudden she is having her wedding 3 weeks before ours which is fine.... BUT now i find out she is having it in the same hall with the same room, and an outdoor cocktail hour. And she knew all of this and now is getting married 3 weeks before us and everything is the SAME!! It just erks me... I don't really want to go because i dont want to see my room, and hall, all dressed up 3 weeks before our day. BTW we had these plans for a year bc she even got engaged. Am i being selfish or self centered? ( not that it matters but FH feels the same and hes closer with her than I am).

seriously some people need a good slap! I can understand if it was her dream hall and she booked AFTER your wedding. I honestly don't think I could stomach going, but as some other ladies pointed out it could be a good test run for you.
try not to get too upset (I know that is nearly impossible) bc all the other ladies are right each wedding is so unique and different.

That is bull****. How could she do that to you? Do you have a similar circle of friends?
On the other hand, your reception may look totally different than hers...ie. decor, lighting etc. But still....that is a load of crap.

Thanks everyone for all of your advice you all made me feel better a little better about it... We have a year to decide whether to go or not.... but i hate how we found out about it.... our friend had to tell us and then she told us after everything was booked.... not once did she mention any of that but whatever i have to hold my head up high and be the better person!!!!
