Just went to a wedding at Villa Lombardi's...

and I have to say....WOW WOW WOW... !! For any VILLA brides out there, rest assured, this places is fabulous !! I loved everything. The food was TOP NOTCH, we couldnt stop raving about everything we tasted ! at the cocktail hour we were stuffed for the day ! (but of course we kept stuffing ! LOL). The service TOP NOTCH. The ceremony was outside, it was a gorgeous day, thank goodness ! A few cute things my girlfriend did that might give you ideas : -Since it was an outdoor ceremony, she had a basket for programs and a basket for wooden fans to fan yourselves (which came in very handy in the sun !). -For the kids, she had little coloring books at the tables, which i thought was very thoughtful, with everything she had on her mind in wedding planning, she made time for the kids :) -Silver napkin rings, with each persons name on it. (sit where your napkin ring is). I also loved the way Villa puts your names (bride and groom) on this huge frame right outside. The ambience is amazing...I LOVED IT ! Anna

They were the fold up kind, they were BEAUTIFUL !!! As soon as she gets back from her honeymoon, I'll ask her where she got them. They looked like a snowflake type design, and were made of a thin, light brown wood. with a small tassle hanging off the end. Elegant and beautiful ! I'll keep you posted ! Anna

Another Villa Bride

Youre welcome, Italysgyrl and Jackie :) I really felt like I was in italy :) the pavement, the pillars, the gates, the beautifully painted walls in the room. I give Villa's a 10PLUS ! OK, some more good notes : The staff was friendly, helpful ( I had misplaced a leather folder from which i did a reading, and one of the girls saw me look concerned (The B&G's envelope was in it - yikes !) and they asked what i needed and said all i was there for was to have a good time, they will do the rest, and they helped me look, asking around with walkie-talkies...how sweet! (we winded up finding it ourselves, but they were so helpful). Also one more cute thing, at cocktail hour, at the seafood medley area, the girl asked my mom if she preferred anything, shrimp or mussels, so my mom said 'yes, shrimp' and we saw that it was a pain in the butt to look for the shrimp in the mix, (even though the girl offered) and we said 'thats ok, dont worry, thank you' - after she found 2 pieces of shrimp for us... Dont you know about 15 minutes later, a waiter came by to my mom with a plate with about 4-5 pieces of shrimp !!! My mom melted !! IT was soo sweet. She wanted to go kiss the girl, and we were then called in to the main room. I really want to get her name, that was beyond the call of duty... ITs those simple things that leave a great impression on you. :) Lots of luck, brides :) ciao anna
