I paid for mine. We are paying for the whole wedding ourselves so this is included in that. Mom like Julz was a single parent and doesn't have money to contribute and dad is an a$$ and has money but isn't helping. He doens't even know if he can make it. WHATEVER!
Ohmigod SAME exact answer as monybride. Thank goodness I fell in love with a dress that wasnt too or I would have had to cover most of that as well!

edited to say: she gave me a dollar limit. Luckily, the dress that I LOVE happened to be within that limit.
Mom's a touch cookie though: She said that if the dress wasn't in that limit, she wouldn't pay for ANY of it...not even give me cash toward it!

My mom paid and actually picked it out! She brought it to me when I was changing and when I came out the tears were there and it was the one in both our eyes.

Although my mom paid for my dress, and I'm soooo thankful, my situation is a little sad... my parents are separated, and are talking about divorce about a month or two before the wedding.... so they split the costs... dad is paying for the reception... mom paid for the dress, invites, photographer and florist... to be honest, I think they both feel so guilty and bad about the divorce, and that's why they splitting the cost between them, taking most of the burden off us...

I paid for my dress. My parents are spending a lot on the wedding and my mom wanted to pay for the dress to but i insisted that i pay for it. She did pay for my veil and tiara.

My parents.
My mom and I agreed at the time the dress was purchased that she would pay for the dress and I would pay for all accessories. I did want to pay for or contribute to the cost of the dress but she wanted to do it for me. (She wants FH and me to save as much money as we can so that we can buy a house.)
