How many brides are NOT telling guests where the wedding is??
I want to keep mine a secret til the invitations go out...but everyone keeps asking us where it is!!! Its really annoying.. Why do people want to know 1 year before the wedding!! We are sending STDs in Dec-Jan for those who want to stay at a hotel nearby. On the STD we are only putting the city and state of the reception and the date. We arent naming the place.
Is anyone else doing this????
TIA!

I have never thought about doing this. I don't know how you are able to keep it a secret. I always want to tell everyone ALL about my hall. Sorry, but I would be like everyone else and ask you where the reception is. Curiousity I guess.

Good Luck and huge props to you if you can pull that off. I know one of the first questions I ask is where are you having it...and I can not wait to be able to tell everyone about it!!!

Re: Keeping your reception place a secret...
i don't really see the point of keeping it a secret. i don't think any of my guests really cared where it was except know what plans to make and to seem interested in the wedding. i know that if one of my friends was keeping their RH a secret, i would think it was strange.

I kind of agree with you, if any of my friends tried to tell me they were keeping their RH a secret I would find it very odd. But I guess I'm just so used to sharing so much info with the people I'm close with. Although the further I get into planning I can see why some people choose to keep details to themselves!!

Re: Keeping your reception place a secret...
It never even occurred to me to keep it a secret because I love to talk about my wedding details. But if you feel like doing that, do it! I think it's great that you can manage to keep it quiet and surprise everyone!
