kinda stolen from the '10 board!

how did everyone pick their wedding date???

i picked december 5th bc i LOVE christmas season and my mom raved about how beautiful fox hollow looked last year during christmas! i also wanted a saturday night and i didnt want it too far into december.

well we originally wanted the end of April because I love the spring w/ the flowers and Liliacs would be in seaon BUT the one of our friends was geiing married that month so we decided on May and when we started looking the only dates they had were 5/15 and 5/22 one of my BM wouldnt be home from college till 5/17 so 5/22 winded up being our date

Haha - We were going to pick 12/5 because that was our first kiss!!! 12/5/03! :)

But we are total fall freaks, so we picked late in the fall when the leaves will be at their peak colors!

Well FH & I wanted Oct/Nov of 2008 but they were all booked up. So when i said to Fh ok well i guess that means May or June of 2009 FH said no way you are marrying me by Feb so then the BM told us that Vday was still available but that its a premium day so its not at a low rate. FH & I looked at each other smiled & we booked it!

since we both are teachers we didnt have much of a choice... we wanted to try for April during Spring Break but we just couldnt plan it that quick so we went with July and randomly picked a Friday!

The #2 seems to be significant in all aspects of our lives... So I knew I wanted something that had that # in it... 2/2/01 is the day we became bf/gf... 1/2/07 is when we quit cigarettes... 5/12/07 is the day we got engaged...

So we picked 8/2/09 because I needed a summer date (school schedule) and it happens to be our 8 1/2 yr anny so it was still very sig for us

FH is a teacher so we wanted summer... and then when we went to Swan Club they only had like 3 Fridays available. It couldn't be late June bc he still has school and it couldn't be too late in August bc he starts football camp, so we didn't have much of a choice!

But it worked out funny - his bday is 7/16, our dating annivesary is 8/16; our wedding anniversary will be 7/24, my bday is 8/24.

we wanted the fall because we sweat a lot and it is columbus day weekend so we thought it would be great for guest

We picked August 2 because it is the day Jay called me for the first time on the phone in about 7 years. We talked from 10pm-6am.

We haven't missed a day since...

Our anniversary is October 30th and I wanted a Saturday wedding and I love Halloween so we picked October 31st.

I wanted the spring without paying the price for May. So it was April 26th the last sunday in April.

We almost went with March 31st. But I really wanted the tulips at the Swan Club to be in bloom. I hope they are....

And I am a teacher.... so I must really be crazy to be planning a wedding not during a vacation.... But spring is my favorite season.

We got engaged in February. Didn't want a summer wedding. Felt Fall was too soon and we already had some weddings to attend. Didn't want to wait unti lthe following fall so we picked spring. Then we let the RH dictate our date based on pricing etc. We were very flexible.
